Round Vinyl Sticker - D and C 103:19
The Scripture
Doctrine and Covenants 103:19: “Therefore, let not your hearts faint, for I say not unto you as I said unto your fathers: Mine angel shall go up before you, but not my presence.”
Why It Matters
The Lord spoke these words to the Saints after they had been driven from their homes in Jackson County, Missouri. He reminded them that while their fathers in the wilderness were led by an angel without the Lord’s immediate presence, He was promising something greater to them: “Mine angels shall go up before you, and also my presence” (D&C 103:20). The command not to faint was grounded in a promise that God Himself would go with them and they would possess the goodly land .
